J&K govt launches scheme for disabled soldiers, dependents

The Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) govt. has launched a scheme for disabled soldiers and their dependents by providing credit on concessional rate of interest to set up self-employment ventures. The scheme is being launched in collaboration with the National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation. Disability of 40% and above can avail a maximum loan of 25 lakh rupees with 4-7% rate of interest per annum. This will boost self-confidence among disabled soldiers through self-employment and the corporation proposes to provide them credit on concessional rate of interest.
